Nick Walker: Forfeited for Mr. Olympia 2023 due to injury
31/10/2023
Announced just 3 hours ago this Tuesday, Mr. Olympia 2023 title contender Nick Walker has unfortunately had to withdraw from the competition due to a hamstring injury.
A third-place finisher in the previous edition, Walker had high hopes for this weekend's competition, where he was considered by many to be the most promising. In the end, he was considered by many to be a serious contender for the title.
In a relatively short space of time, Nick Walker has become one of the most eagerly awaited stars of the IFBB Pro League. His impressive physique and impeccable physical condition have been hailed by fans and specialists alike since his debut. In 2022, he took a respectable third place at the Mr. Olympia, behind champion Hadi Choopan and Men's Open newcomer Derek Lunsford.
Nick Walker then took part in the Arnold Classic 2023 just three months later. There, he showed a better physical condition than his Mr. Olympia appearance, but perhaps a little less massive, thus mitigating his famous "freak factor". As a result, he failed to take first place, finishing in second place.
